Getting Started
Let's set up your Santa's Magical Telephone™
Overview
To speak with Santa Claus on your Santa's Magical Telephone™, three steps are required:
- Account Registration: Set up an account online and register your Santa's Magical Telephone™.
- Connect Wireless: Connect your Santa's Magical Telephone™ to your wireless network.
- Call Santa!: Wait for firmware to update, then call Santa!
Step 1: Account Registration
- Visit santasmagicaltelephone.com
- Select "Register" and follow the on-screen prompts
- After registering, you'll be redirected to your Account Dashboard
- Select "Activate New Magical Telephone"
- Complete the activation form using your device's serial number
- Found on the label at the bottom of the Santa's Magical Telephone™
- Found on the landing page during wireless setup (see Step 2)
Note: If using an unregistered device after wireless connection, an Elf will answer your call and provide the device's serial number.
Important: Santa's Magical Telephone™ will not function until activated.
Step 2: Initial Wireless Setup
- Plug Santa's Magical Telephone™ into a power source using the included adapter
- A quick red flashing LED indicates the Santa's Magical Telephone™ is ready for setup
- On a smartphone, tablet, or computer, connect to the device's Wireless Network: "Santa Phone"
- When prompted, enter your home Wireless Network ID and password, then press enter
- After the device connects to your home wireless network, a flashing white and red LED will indicate the device is updating. Do not unplug or pick up the handset.
- A steady white LED in the Santa logo center button indicates that Santa's Magical Telephone™ is connected and ready to proceed.
Note: If the landing page doesn't open, manually enter either http://santasmagicaltelephone.local or http://192.168.4.1 in your browser.
Note: A firmware update will run during setup (flashing white and red LED). Do not unplug or pick up the handset. Wait for the steady white light in the Santa logo center button before proceeding.
Step 3: Call Santa!
- Pick up the handset and press the Santa logo center button to start your call
- A ringtone plays
- A steady white light means Santa is ready. Once the connection is made, Santa will speak.
- Hang up when finished
Note: A short delay may occur before Santa speaks. A flashing white light means he's picking up the call!
Important: After a call, the device will hang up and complete the call (flashing white LED). Wait for the light to turn steady white before making another call.
